Once upon a Halloween night there was a little girl named Ella. Ella’s parents tucked Ella in bed and kissed her goodnight then they left the house to go out for dinner. The next morning came around Ella got out of bed. The TV was on the lights were flickering. There were shadows and the windows she looked outside there was nothing it was pitch black she heard a scream she went closer and closer deep into the woods. The trees were whispering to her then she saw something a house she said a HAUNTED HOUSE  the scream went Quieter and Quieter then stopped so she went to the haunted house she didn't want to do it but she went into the HAUNTED HOUSE she heard a voice coming from the attic to the roof she listened carefully and she heard a scary voice the HAUNTED HOUSE said Trick or treat she snuck it the attic onto the roof there was nothing but a note on a rope. Ella jumped on the rope and got the note then suddenly the rope SNAPPED just like that and fell into a never-ending void. The note said TRICKED YA. She could see her parents trapped in a closet in the attic and she hit her head and woke up from a dream ran down the stairs the TV was on and her dad was watching football and her mother was making pancakes for breakfast. After breakfast her mother gave Ella a Halloween costume. Ella's parents dressed up and went outside Trick or treat said Ella's parents. She new the HAUNTED HOUSE did something to Ella’s parents so Ella ran back to the HAUNTED HOUSE she yelled at the HAUNTED HOUSE and said What did you do to my parents undo it now the HAUNTED HOUSE replied I didn't do anything all you have to do is esrever/reverse everything you did. FINE so then on she reversed everything she did and it was all back to normal but one thing wasn't the haunted house was gone every bad dream came true for the rest of her life or I should say for the rest of Eternity she stayed young and undyeable forever.

Tools can be dangerous if used incorrectly. When using the class hand tools, make sure you know how to use them properly.

Tape Measures is used for measuring.

Crow bars is used for splitting wood.

Pliers are used for cutting wire

Hammers are used for taking out nails 
and hammering nails in.

Screwdrivers are used for screwing in screws.

Builders Pencils are used for marking where they want cut.

Tenon Saws are used for cutting wood pipes and all sorts.

Combination Squares are used to make sure things are straight.

Hold them properly.

WALT We are learning to desin and create pallet garden prototypes
Why I chose this design? I chose this design because when it rains the plants get enough water because its made so it looks like an L shape it has four sections plus to cups to grow stuff in. It was quite challenging to make the pallets and getting the black fabric on my prototype but it worked. What you need for this design? Wood/ pallets. Nails. Plants. Sticks. Soil. Timber. Cups. Water. Sunlight. Hammer. Reflection: The coloring and drawing was hard because I had to make it perfect and straight. I was also trying to stay in the lines. When I finished my prototype It turned out the way I wanted it to. When I was making my prototype the hot glue kept burning me but it was worth it because it all worked out in the end.

Reflection part 2
Today we went to Te Tinana. Whaea Nina was there. She talked about temperature and some other things. Whaea Nina got some Equipment and showed all of them to us and explained what they do and what there for. I Learnt about the fish trap. It looked like two metal bins attached with a rope. Mr masters put us in groups I was a leader and so was my friends Maya and Gemini there were 2 people in my group Harry and Rickaarn. I didn't get to see all the equipment but at least i saw some of the equipment I learnt that there is bad fish and if we catch them we have to kill them.

Reflection: The easy part was writing the story.

WALT: we are learning to be kaitiaki in our community
Reflection:
At school, my class Te puawai Went over to Te tinana and a lady named Whaea Nina talked to us about white bait connection and why we need to keep them alive. She also talked to us about the water Cycle. I liked playing the game... who? Dirtied the water. We all went in a circle. Whaea Nina gave some people jar of… Water dirt mandarin peels and so on… Whaea Nina filled up a big bowl of water and put it in the middle of the classroom I didn't get a jar but not everyone got a jar. The jars had writing so when Whaea Nina tells the story, the people that have jars have labels on them so they know when to put whatever's in the into the bowl of water.

Under the bed

WALT: we are learning to use descriptive vocab in our writing.

This is work i have written and edited myself its still a work in progress.
UNDER THE BED
He is frightened and scared because he must have seen a monster or something it must be scary he is afraid what's  under the bed. He is wearing car pajamas and he has a teddy bears to sleep with. He must be scared what could he see but he's very brave must not be scared because never fear the monster detector is here but wait what is it going to do. Is it friendly is it deadly which one could it be well we will have to find out but don't be afraid he pulled out a box from under his bed hes is scared to open his eyes but wait the curious boy he's a curious all right. The  boy opens his eyes and he sees and he sees…NOTHING! it was all a dream.

On the day of matariki the stars stay there for up to 3 days.
Matariki starts at 10:00 Am. in the night.

Swim safe

WALT: we are learning to swim safely.
Question: What type of swimming can you do?

Reflection: I thought the hardest part was having to float on front because I got a mouth full of water.

I am able to float on my front and back.      😐

I can do front glide with correct kicking.      ☹️

I can glide on my back with correct kicking.      ☹️

I can swim freestyle.      😀

I can swim backstroke.      😐

I can do sculling to keep afloat.      😀

I can swim one length of freestyle with correct
breathing.      ☹️

Plants

P.E Assessment

WALT: we are learning to catch and pass a large ball.


 I can do a lob pass it was easy but when my partner threw the ball to me it hurt my hands.

 I can’t do a side pass because I can't throw the ball straight.

I can nearly do chest pass but the problem is i cant aim for the chest from far away. I end up throwing it next to my partner.

I can do a bounce pass. It's easy because all I have to do is aim for their feet but not to close otherwise you will make the ball roll up their feet. I don’t throw it too hard because it will be too hard to catch. 

Reflection: The hardest pass was the side pass because I can't throw the ball straight.

Climate
The weather found in a certain place over a long period of time is known as the climate.
Carbon dioxide
Carbon dioxide is a chemical  compound that is usually in the form of a gas. It is made up.
Alkaline
When water is combined with a base the result is called a basic, or alkaline.
Acid Soil
Some Erica's are grown in North America. Erica's like light, sandy, acidic soil. They grow well on the slopes of.

Temperature
They return nutrients to the soil, where new plants grow. The way that producers, consumers, and decomposes provide.
Oxygen
Oxygen is the most common chemical element found on or in Earth. It is one of the main elements.
Reflection: It was a bit hard because i could not find the right meaning.

Tidy Number Strategy

1.8 + 7 = 15
  8 + 2 = 10
  +5 = 15


2.9 + 6 = 15
  9 + 1 = 10

I found this quite easy to understand because it was just like my number bonds post.

Hi my name is Ruby and my favorite colors are green, yellow and blue. My favorite foods are sushi and Chinese food. My favorite kind of sushi is the one with avocado in it. My Bffs are Cleo, Liv and Awhitia. My favorite thing to do at school is learn about native birds. My favorite pet is my Uncles dog Euka. Euka is brown and white. If you give him a tennis ball he will rip it up straight away. My favorite place is Hastings and lucky last, my favorite songs are Despacito and Tiptoe.

My holiday

WALT: write creative story's.

Last holidays my dad came up from Hastings. He took Paige Jaxon and I to the lake. My friend and her brother were there. My friend and I Dahlia got to go on dahlias brothers kayak we went to the flags and back then we tied our boogie boards to the kayak. Dahlias brother paddled the kayak dahlia and I were on the boogie boards then after that it was time to go home.
